The Ossipee Public Library is pleased to announce we received $300 from the Art in Libraries Grant. According to the Governor Wentworth Art Council website, “The Governor Wentworth Arts Council recognizes the important role that our community libraries play in the lives of our residents in providing literary, educational, and social resources that enrich our lives.”
The grant funds will be used to create take home art kits for all ages to enjoy. Providing art supplies will give our patrons the chance to participate in art projects on their own time. The art kits will include paints, watercolors, paintbrushes, bristol board/watercolor paper or mini-canvas along with inspirational ideas. 20 Art kits will be available starting in January on a first come, first served basis. Once the art project is complete, we ask that patrons share their creations with us. We will gladly display the paintings in our meeting room.
The mission of the Ossipee Public Library is to offer a welcoming environment of lifelong learning by providing materials and services that educate, inform, entertain and enrich the citizens of Ossipee.
