Board of Trustees Meeting
Date of meeting: August 8, 2022
Secretary’s Report
Attendees: Director, Maria Moulton; Chairperson, Patricia Pustell; Secretary, Dorisann Allenson; Trustees, Carl Tyler, Jane ter Kuile; Alternate Trustees, Linda Hatfield and Roger ter Kuile.
Call to order: The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Patricia Pustell at 10:03 am.
Alternate Trustee Linda Hatfield was raised to voting status to create a quorum.
Secretary’s Report: A motion was made by Carl Tyler to accept the Secretary’s Report as written. It was seconded by Linda Hatfield. The motion passed.
Treasurer’s Report: A motion was made by Linda Hatfield to accept the Treasurer’s Report as submitted. It was seconded by Carl Tyler. The motion passed.
Director’s Report: A discussion ensued about adding Juneteenth as a Federal holiday observed by the Ossipee Public Library. Maria Moulton will make changes needed to the holiday policy. The trustees will vote on the change in the policy at the next trustees meeting.
A motion was made by Dorisann Allenson to accept the Director’s Report. It was seconded by Carl Tyler. The motion passed.
Old Business: Covid Policy: There are no changes to the library Covid policies.
4th of July Parade: The float created by Patricia Pustell, Dorisann Allenson, Alison Hayford and her children, and Robert Pustell to represent The Friends of the Library and Friends of Constitution Park was awarded a second place prize. It is on display at the library.
Summer Reading Program: The final day of the program is August 9, 2022. Prizes will be awarded to the children starting at 10:30 am at the library (outside if possible).
New Business: Friends of the Library: The next Friends of the Library meeting will be Sept. 27, 2022 at 2:00 pm. Election of officers will take place as this is their annual meeting.
The friends are reaching out to all citizens interested in joining this very important group of people. They are a very important part of our town library.
