Secretary’s Report of June 12, 2023
Trustees Meeting
Attendance: Trustees: Pat Pustell, chairperson, Dorisann Allenson, Secretary, Lisa Buerk,
Treasurer, Carl Tyler, Linda Hatfield. Alternates: Roger ter Kuile, Terry Sousoure.
Interim director: Jen Allen Hired Director: Jenny Spofford
Introductions were made with our new director, Jenny Spofford, and the Library board.
Call to Order: 10:41 by chair, Pat Pustell.
Secretary’s Report: A motion to accept the secretary’s report dated May 1, 2023 was made by
Carl Tyler and seconded by Linda Hatfield. The motion passed.
Treasurer’s Report: A discussion was had about the town payout for departing director,Maria
Moulton. Her name has been removed from the OPL bank credit/debit card.Lisa will get
Director Jenny’s name on the card July 6,2023. There was discussion about the credit card.
Motion to accept the treasurer’s report by Linda Hatfield. Seconded by Carl Tyler.
The motion passed.
Director’s Report: A motion was made by Dorisann Allenson to accept the Director’s Report
and seconded by Lisa Buerk The motion passed.
Old Business: The Energy Audit Project was put on hold until the new director starts on July 6,
- Carl is continuing to work on a solution to the internet.
New Business: There was an explanation and discussion with Linda Hatfield about the
contract she composed for our new director. There were a few changes made.
There was a motion made by Linda Hatfield to accept the contract as noted with changes.
It was seconded by Carl Tyler. The motion passed unanimously.
The contract will be signed on Friday, June 23, 2023.
Action Items: How does the library fit into the town government?
Interaction with the memorandum of understanding.
Next Meeting: July 18, 2023 at 2:00 pm OPL conference room.
