Treasurer’s Report: We reviewed the report. There was a question about “retained earnings” under liabilities and equity and Maria will ask Karen to clarify that item. Maria also noted that the Kindergarten Book Program Funds needs to be adjusted for recent expenditures. Report was accepted (PP, LH)
Director’s Report: The large trees in front have been removed and new maples will be planted. We discussed having a celebration with children. Report accepted. (AH, PP)
Alison made a motion that Karen Anthony be the sole administrator of quick books. Motion passed. (AH, LP)
The bank accounts have been transferred into the proper names. The Wells Fargo and NH Public Deposit Investment Pool are in the progress of being transferred.
We discussed the sidewalks and walkways. Dolores shared concerns about folks with walkers or wheelchairs getting around the yellow curb at the side door. Maria has discussed this with Brad Harriman and he said the curb cannot be removed.
Maria has spoken with the Tuftonboro Library Director and they expect to be closed for a time during their renovation. Alison moved to offer temporary, free library cards to Tuftonboro residents during their expected short-term closure for renovations. (AH, LH) motion passed.
Dolores offered to donate a couch or love seat to the library for the children’s area.
We briefly discussed how we might spend the large donation we received including installing mini split heating/cooling units, a projector, and renovating the computer room. Maria suggested that we focus on completing the carpet project first.
The trustees asked that Maria get an estimate of what the library carpet and moving company will cost in preparation for the budget meeting on June 5th. She will also ask Brad Harriman what is available in the town buildings fund.
Moved to adjourn at 2:11 (LH, DC)
