Minutes of OPL Trustees’ Meeting
Attendance: Trustees: Patricia Pustell, Dorisann Allenson, Linda Hatfield, Carl Tyler, and Director, Maria Moulton. Absent: Trustee Lisa Buerk and Alternate Trustee: Roger Ter Kuile.
Call to Order: by chair, Patricia Pustell. 10:13am
Secretary’s Report: A motion was made by Linda Hatfield to accept the Secretary’s report as presented. It was seconded by Dorisann Allenson. The motion passed.
Treasurer’s Report: A motion was made by Carl Tyler to accept the Treasurer’s report as presented and was seconded by Linda Hatfield. The motion passed.
Director’s Report: A motion was made by Linda Hatfield to accept the Director’s report as written and seconded by Carl Tyler. The motion passed.
Old Business: Building Maintenance: The front step was repaired by the town and the benches were set on cement slabs. They fixed up the garden by the oil fill, also. NHLTA Conference: Six Trustees and the director attended the conference. Energy Audit: the energy audit is on hold until we hire a new director.
New Business: Friends of the Library: Plants and Book Sale, to be held on May 27.
Director Position: A motion was made by Linda Hatfield to change to non-public meeting to discuss the hiring of a new library director. It was seconded by Carl Tyler. The motion passed. A motion was made by Chairperson, Pat Pustell to re-open the public portion of the meeting. It was seconded by Linda Hatfield. The motion passed. 11:42am
Next Meeting: June 12, 2023 at 10:00am
Discussion: Jen Allen, Librarian I will attend the next trustees meeting. No one will work alone on Saturday mornings. Carl Tyler will volunteer to be with Derek Castle, Library Assistant, who will work every Saturday. Trustees will act as director in the interim.
Adjourn: A motion was made by Carl Tyler to adjourn the meeting. It was seconded by Linda Hatfield. The motion passed. 11:52am
