You are invited to “Dig Into Reading” at the Ossipee Public Library!
July 2: Summer Reading kickoff at 10:30am at the town hall, featuring Rick Goldin’s Music Program, sponsored by the Friends of the Ossipee Public Library. This event is open to the public and not limited to summer reading participants.
Sign-ups for the summer reading program are June 24-July 1 at the Ossipee Public Library. (Program limit is 50 children).
Program Dates: Tuesdays (July 9, 16, 23, 30, August 6 and 13) at 10:30am.
July 9: Decorating a pot and planting a seed. July 16: Karen Wright will show a “worm farm.”
July 23: Dig for treasure in the sand. July 30: “Mole in the Hole,” crafts with Mrs. Tucker.
August 6: Steve Blunt’s “Rockin’ Sing-Along!” (This program is paid for by two grants. Funding for the Kids, Books, and the Arts Grant was provided by the Byrne Foundation, CHILIS, the Cogswell Benevolent Trust, the NHLA, and the NH State Library as well as a grant from the US Institute of Museum and Library Services. Also this performance is funded in part by a grant from the Governor Wentworth Arts Council.)
August 12 (Monday): reading logs must be returned to the library by 5:00pm.
August 13, 2013: prize day (last day of the summer reading program).
