Global Awareness Local Action (G.A.L.A.) and the Ossipee Public Library are offering a workshop on DIY Non-Toxic, Eco-Friendly Household Cleaners. Participants will learn about the dangers of some over the counter cleaners and why it is safer and equally effective to make your own alternatives using simple and basic ingredients such as baking soda, vinegar, hydrogen peroxide, club soda, borax, orange peels, cedar chips, salt, lemon juice, and even olive oil. G.A.L.A.’s Director, Josh Arnold, will go over several different homemade recipes for disinfectant, laundry soap, toilet bowl cleaners, carpet stains removal, basic polish, window/glass cleaner and more. The class is free and open to the public and takes place on Thursday, October 29th, from 6:30 – 8:00pm at the Ossipee Public Library.
